BlackVue Elite 10 Cabin: Is the 4K Interior Camera Worth It?
by FFB Tech on Oct 14, 2026
Most dashcams watch the road. The BlackVue Elite 10 Cabin watches the road and the inside of your vehicle, and it records both in 4K. If you carry passengers, drive for a living, or just want a clear record of what happens in your car, that is a different job from a normal front and rear camera. This guide explains what the Elite 10 Cabin does, who it is for, and when another BlackVue or Thinkware setup is the better choice.
The short version
- What it is: a two-camera system with a 4K front camera and a 4K interior camera that has infrared night vision.
- What it is not: a front and rear system. The Cabin points its second camera inside the vehicle, not out the back window. If you want the rear window covered, look at the Elite 10-2CH.
- Who it suits: rideshare and taxi drivers, fleet vehicles, and anyone who wants a record of what happens inside the car.
- Good to know: LTE cloud connectivity is not included. It needs a separate BlackVue LTE module.
What the Elite 10 Cabin does
4K front camera. A Sony STARVIS 2 sensor records 3840x2160 video with HDR, built for readable license plates and road signs, including in low light.
4K interior camera with infrared night vision. This is the headline feature. The cabin camera also records in 4K, using a sensor with near-infrared technology and a mechanical IR cut filter, so you get natural color by day and clean black-and-white footage at night. The infrared is invisible, so there is no red glow in the cabin after dark.
A wide view of the whole interior. BlackVue gives the cabin lens a 160° field of view (133° horizontal, 72° vertical), which covers the rear seats and side windows, not just the front seats.
Parking mode and event recording. A built-in G-sensor handles motion detection, impact detection and time-lapse recording. A Power Saving mode draws under 1mA and wakes in under a second. The camera also records hard braking, hard acceleration, hard cornering and overspeed events, with 10 seconds of pre-event recording and up to 50 protected event files. A hardwire cable is included for parking mode.
Connectivity. Built-in dual-band GPS, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth. It works with the BlackVue App and BlackVue Cloud, which includes 1GB of free backup storage. For always-on cloud features you need a separate BlackVue LTE module, such as the CM100GLTE.

The Thinkware setup is the only one of the three that records front, rear and interior at once. The trade-off is that its interior video is Full HD, and the LTE module and interior camera cannot run together on the U3000 Pro. If you want the sharpest interior footage, the Elite 10 Cabin is the one. If you need all three directions, look at the Thinkware bundle or a three-channel system from another brand in our rideshare dashcam guide.
Who should choose the Elite 10 Cabin
- Rideshare and taxi drivers who want a clear record of passenger disputes or false complaints. BlackVue aims the 4K cabin camera at exactly this use.
- Fleet operators who want to see what happens inside company vehicles. See our guide to dashcams for commercial and fleet vehicles.
- Anyone who values interior footage over a rear camera, for example if you rarely have trouble behind you but want to document what happens in the cabin.
Choose something else if rear coverage matters more to you than the interior. In that case the Elite 10-2CH, or our Elite 8 vs 9 vs 10 comparison, will point you in the right direction.
Before you install an interior camera
Video of the road carries no consent requirement in the US, but interior recording with passengers raises a different question, especially if any audio is recorded. Some states require everyone in a conversation to know about and agree to audio recording. Pennsylvania is one of them. If you carry passengers, read our guide to dashcams, insurance and the law before you set up the camera. It explains the audio rules and a simple way to put passengers on notice. This is general information, not legal advice.
Memory card sizes and what is in the box
The Elite 10 Cabin comes in 64GB, 128GB, 256GB, 512GB and 1TB versions. Because it records 4K video from two cameras, a high-endurance card matters. Our guide to high-endurance memory cards explains why.
In the box: the front camera and interior IR camera, a 1.5m interior camera cable, mount brackets with double-sided tape for each camera, a USB-C PD3.0 power cable and 12V car charger, a hardwiring power cable, a BlackVue microSD card (64GB in the base version), cable clips, an alcohol pad, a pry tool and a quick start guide.
